Harris Environmental Group, Inc. is a
respected natural and cultural resources consulting firm in Tucson,
Arizona seeking a Cultural Resources Field Director. This position
provides a unique opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team in
one of the most ecologically diverse areas of the nation.
Responsibilities
-
Conduct
archaeological survey, monitoring, testing, and data recovery
projects.

Oversee crews on
small- to moderate-sized survey projects.

Write cultural
resources compliance reports in accordance with local, state, and
federal guidelines.

Conduct archival
reviews.
-
Assist with
document production and quality control.

Mapping/GIS
assistance.
Qualifications
·
B.S. or
B.A. degree in anthropology or related field (Masters degree preferred).
·
Minimum
of 3 years field experience.
·
Familiarity with Section 106 (familiarity also with Arizona legislation
preferred).
·
Experience writing cultural resources compliance documents.
·
Ability
to multi-task.
·
Detail-oriented.
·
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
·
Willingness to travel throughout the greater Southwest as field projects
require.
·
Familiarity with ArcView and AutoCAD software preferred.
·
Field
experience in Southwest preferred.
