Native plan preservation and re-vegetation plan for Tumamoc Hill, Tucson, Arizona
Project: Native plan preservation and re-vegetation plan for Tumamoc Hill, Tucson, Arizona
Client: TRC and Kinder Morgan
Period of Performance: 2004
Harris Environmental Group biologists were called up to develop a Native Plant Preservation Plan following Pima County guidelines along 28-miles of gas pipeline right-of-way. This NPPP was crucial for our client to comply with environmental ordnances. We developed and implemented a three-year re-vegetation plan for portions of the University of Arizona’s Research Station at Tumamoc Hill which was affected by upgrading this gas-line. As part of our total plan we developed a native species seed-mix, application plan for the seed-mix, and removal of Buffel Grass, an invasive plant species, in the project area. Development of Native Plant Preservation Plans is just one of the many ways we help our clients successfully navigate complex biological and environmental regulations.
